ARAFEMI supports recovery and empowerment through community support. We support people in the community to live independently and work towards common goals. Our range of innovative mental health programs focus on recovery and consumer participation – as keys to listening and supporting mental health.

Our Family Support Program values the lived experience of people who support those with mental illness. We recognise the role that families, friends and carers play in the ongoing recovery from mental illness. As a leader in Statewide peer support for carers, we listen and support the voice of families towards better mental health through our help line, support groups and on-line services. ARAFEMI is a community based service that seeks to improve the lives and well being of all people effected by mental illness. Its services are based on recovery, respect, inclusion and participation by people with mental illness and their families and carers.
